Mental Health & Learning Disability: Projects

STROPSLEY DAYCARE AND RESPITE CENTRE

Luton Borough Council required purpose designed buildings to meet the increase in demand for care in the local area.

Two new buildings were provided using traditional masonry construction providing;

Respite care facilities

2 storey building incorporating Bedrooms, Lounges, Kitchen, Dining room,

Laundry, Medical room and Staff Facilities Day Care facilities

2 story building incorporating Kitchen, Dining room, Laundry, Meeting rooms, Group rooms, Therapy rooms, Physio and Treatment rooms.

The construction works included new vehicular entrances and car parking. Construction on site began in 2015 with a 62 week construction period.

WOODLANDS SCHOOL

Woodlands School in Luton required a purpose designed building to allow expansion to meet the demand for their specific specialism in the local area.

The 2000m2 extension provided 12 new classrooms, a new main entrance, a new staffroom and other administration spaces with a link to the existing building.

The construction works included two new vehicular entrances and additional car parking together with some minor adaptations within the existing building.


Construction on site began in 2014 with a 62 week construction period.
